Mental Health Referral Guide for Young People in Tasmania
The Statewide Youth Collaborative Group (SYC) has produced a Mental Health Referral Guide for Young People in Tasmania. This is a much-needed resource for the wider community sector, and other key stakeholders working with young people in Tasmania.
Guide to Information Dissemination in the Tas Youth Sector
The Statewide Youth Group (SYC) has produced a Guide to Information Dissemination in the Tasmanian youth sector. This was the result of much work by SYC, including a comprehensive survey of the sector in 2009. This guide has since been endorsed and implemented by the three Tasmanian regional groups, YAP, NYCC and NWAY.
Top Ten Tips: SYC’s Guide for Consulting with Young People
The Statewide Youth Collaborative (SYC) group’s Top Ten Tips: SYC’s Guide for Consulting with Young People makes a number of recommendations which aim to ensure that consulting with young people is done well and in a way that is meaningful to young people.
It is hoped that the Top Ten Tips will encourage more government departments and organisations to utilise forums, such as the Tasmanian Youth Forum, in their consultation or to develop their own youth-appropriate strategies.
SYC's Top Ten Tips: Consultation Guide for Young People
The Statewide Youth Collaborative (SYC) group has launched resource for young
people titled SYC Top Ten Tips for Consultation: A Guide for Young People. This is the second guide by SYC and is aimed at young people.
It is hoped that the resource will help young people to understand what is involved with a
consultation, including their rights, what will happen with their information and encourage
Children and Young People in Tasmania (CAYPIT)
Communities, Sport and Recreation Tasmania's (CSRT) provides and facilitates information about children and young people, and the issues they face, to the children and youth sectors and the general community. The Children and Young People in Tasmania (CAYPIT) online resource is designed to facilitate statistics, qualitative research and other information to a cross section of audiences, including young people, policy makers, program planners and service providers at a state, regional and local level. Information is available in an 'At a Glance' snapshot of children and young people for several topics.
Youth Participation and Leadership Resources
The Youth Participation and Leadership: Organisation Resource aims to encourage organisations to consider involving young people, by highlighting the benefits and providing advice about organisations can create opportunities for young people to contribute.
The Youth Participation and Leadership: Youth Resource aims to explain to young people the different ways they can be a leader and participate in their community by providing examples and tips for finding these opportunities.
