Youth Homelessness Matters Day 2013

Youth Homelessness Matters Day was held on 10 April 2013 in the Elizabeth St Mall, as part of National Youth Week. Youth Homelessness Matters Day is a national awareness day, coordinated by the National Youth Coalition for Housing and run by YNOT in Tasmania.

Young people were on hand to share their inspiring stories, to share their solutions to this issue and to talk to the community about committing to GO WITHOUT their bed for a night in solidarity with the 26,000 young homeless people around Australia!

A number of local youth homelessness services  also be participated in the event by holding interactive stalls, including LAUNCH, Mara House, Annie Kenney, Youth and Family Focus, Youth Care, Hobart Women's Shelter and the Hobart PCYC.
