Carmel Hobbs

Carmel is a social scientist and educator/trainer specialising in teen domestic violence and abuse and trauma responsive practice. She works at the University of Tasmania in the trauma-informed practice lab in the School of Education.

In addition to working at UTAS, she also teaches in the Master of Public Health program at Victoria University, is an adjunct Lecturer in the School of Psychology and Public Health at La Trobe University, and Deputy Chair of the Story Island Project. Carmel is involved with YNOT because she believes young people should be valued and empowered to participate in the decisions that impact their lives.
