The Tasmanian Youth Housing and Homelessness Group (TYHHG) welcomes the opportunity to respond to the Tasmanian Government consultation on the Under 16 Homelessness Policy Framework and Under 16 Practice Guidelines for Specialist Homelessness Services. TYHHG is a statewide membership group comprising of over 20 representatives from non-government organisations specialising in youth housing and homelessness services, co-chaired by Shelter Tasmania and YNOT.

YNOT attended the Budget Community Group Lock-up before the release of the 2021-22 Liberal State Government Budget on Thursday, 26 August 2021. This Budget contains record investment by the Tasmanian Government to improve the health and wellbeing of Tasmania's children and young people and will support the successful implementation of the Tasmanian Child and Youth Wellbeing Strategy Action Plan 2021-2025.

The Tasmanian Child and Youth Wellbeing Strategy Consultation Report is compiled from information gathered from more than 280 young people aged 12-25 years at 11 workshops held statewide between 1 December 2020 and 15 February 2021. This Report was produced in collaboration between YNOT and the Mental Health Council of Tasmania and will be used to further inform the Tasmanian Child and Youth Wellbeing Strategy and Framework.
