Work With Us

Join our Team! Policy Officer

YNOT is looking for an experienced and qualified Policy Officer to join our team!

If you’re passionate about driving positive change with young people aged 12-25 years and the Tasmanian youth sector, we want to hear from you.

This is a full-time, fixed term position (till 24 Dec 2023) working on evaluation, analysis, research and policy development across youth affairs in Tasmania, with a focus on employment and training areas. Part time hours may be considered by negotiation.

For more information or to apply, visit SEEK. Or contact YNOT CEO, Tania Hunt at or  0427 466 189.

Student Placements

YNOT aims to support students to gain practical experience throughout their TAFE, VET or University studies.

As a strong advocate for young people and the Tasmanian youth sector, YNOT can provide you with opportunities to participate in research and policy development, advocacy, project work, resource development and more.

If you’re interested in learning about systemic advocacy, responding to government policy and priorities, community development and youth participation, we may be able to assist you with a field placement.

Please note that we are not a direct service provider and do not work therapeutically with young people.

To register an interest for a student placement, speak to your coursework coordinator and contact us.

Work Experience and Volunteering

YNOT is always looking for volunteers!

Without volunteers YNOT could not do half of the work that we are involved in. Whether you are looking to up-skill in administration, graphic design, event planning, research or resource development, we would love to hear from you!

No qualifications are necessary to volunteer, just a passion for working with young people and an eagerness to be involved. If would like to volunteer at YNOT, get in touch and let us know a little about yourself and your interests to see what we can offer you.
