City of Hobart Youth Advisory Squad (YAS)
The City of Hobart’s Youth Advisory Squad (YAS) is a group for young people aged 12 – 25 years that strive to make the city a more youth friendly environment. Young people involved with YAS will get the opportunity to gain strong leadership, communication and teamwork skills, as well as gain experience in the development and running of youth focused community projects and events.

CREATE Foundation
The CREATE Foundation represents the voices of children and young people with an out-of-home care experience; this includes kinship care, foster care and residential care. Young people can have fun, learn new skills, make new friends, be heard and contribute to positive changes within the care system.

Derwent Valley Youth Future Action Team (D’FAT)
Derwent Valley Youth Future Action Team (D’FAT) is a youth led not-for-profit organisation in the Derwent Valley Local Government Area that exists to empower young people to become respected and engaged members of the Derwent Valley community. D’FAT aims to advise organisations and individuals on youth issues and concern, and develop activities and projects for young people.

headspace Hobart Youth Reference Group (YRG)
The headspace Hobart YRG provides a forum for young people aged 16-25 years to exchange ideas and resources and assist headspace Hobart and other programs of The Link Youth Health Service with a range of consultation and decision-making activities.

Huon Valley Council Youth Working Group
The Huon Valley Council Youth Working Group promotes a youth perspective for Huon Valley projects and programs by acting as a voice for young people between the ages of 12-24 years. Members have the opportunity to advise on and participate in youth driven projects. In 2022, Working Group projects included the creation of the 12 to 24: Huon Valley Youth brand and social media campaigns for drug and alcohol education.

Youth Action Kingborough (YAK)
Youth Action Kingborough (YAK) is a group of young people aged 14 to 25 who are passionate about making a difference in their community. YAK provides a platform for youth to connect, share ideas, and take action through events and discussions. Over the past year, the group has been involved in a range of initiatives, including creating a youth zine, hosting an LGBTQIA+ friendly quiz night, preparing soup for Loui’s Van, welcoming guest speakers from various organisations, and supporting local Council events. YAK is a great opportunity to meet like-minded peers and contribute to positive change in Kingborough.

Youth Network Advisory Group (YNAG)
YNAG works with Clarence City Council to help run events and making sure young people of the city have a voice. The group members are aged between 12-25 years.

ACD Tas Youth Empowering Peers (YEP)
YEP is a safe space for youth with disability to recognise their leaderships, learn to maximise their social impact, have fun and play games. The YEP group follows a leadership curriculum called the Social Model of Change (SMOC). It takes a (school) year to complete, and the group is closed to new members after a few sessions. They always undertake a social change project as part of the course. After members have completed a SMOC course, they are welcome to join the Alumni, which meets each fortnight to continue to make social change.
