We’re looking for 12 young people aged 12-25 years from across Tasmania to join our online Youth Policy and Advisory Council (YPAC)! Meetings are held every month on weekdays from 5pm-7pm. Members are paid $35 per hour ($70 e-gift voucher) for each meeting they attend.

The Youth Policy and Advisory Council (YPAC) is a group of young people aged 12-25 years who help drive YNOT's policy, advocacy and project work. YPAC ensures that the voices, experiences and perspectives of young Tasmanians are embedded across everything we do. 

Through YPAC, young people work with YNOT to help shape priorities, guide projects and activities, and strengthen outcomes for young people across Tasmania.

YPAC will run from September 2026 to June 2027. Members are paid $35 per hour for each meeting they attend. 

As a YPAC member, you will:

• Share your views on issues that matter to young Tasmanians. 
• Help shape YNOT's policy, advocacy and strategic priorities. 
• Contribute to projects, events and activities for young people.
• Take part in consultations, panels, media, public speaking and other opportunities. 
• Support the Youth Homelessness Matters Day national advocacy campaign co-design two youth training workshops. 
• Build your leadership, advocacy and communication skills through training and other learning opportunities. 

YPAC is facilitated by the Youth Network of Tasmania (YNOT).
