Youth Transitions 18-25: A Plan for Action

YNOT is developing a whole of government Action Plan that focuses on and addresses the needs of young people 18-25 years as they transition to adulthood. The Action Plan will align to the Tasmanian Child and Youth Wellbeing Strategy and Framework, and will set program and policy direction for young people over the coming years.

The Action Plan will be developed in collaboration with young people 18-25 years, key government, youth and community sector stakeholders and the Tasmanian community.

How is this being done?

Step One: Research and Consultation - January to May 2023

Step Two: Development of a Youth Transition Discussion Paper - May to August 2023

Step Three: Consultation on the Draft Discussion Paper - expected August 2023

Step Four: Development of the Draft Action Plan - September 2023

Step Five: Consultation on the Draft Action Plan - expected October 2023

Step Six: Action Plan completed - December 2023

Step Seven: Youth Transitions 18-25: A Plan for Action released - (TBC).

 

Pathways to Adulthood Online survey open!

What's it like starting a career? ...renting or buying a home? ...accessing health and support services? What makes adulthood easier? What gets in the way? What do you think would work better?

Young people 18-25 years are invited to share their experiences and perspectives on transitioning to adulthood and independence, and their ideas and solutions to help young Tasmanians thrive! 

Have your say by completing a short 10-15 minute survey and enter the prize draw for 1 of 5 x $100 gift vouchers. Survey closes on 31 May 2023.
